Introduction

Welcome to this manual of the Zoi Meet Vuzix Application. This manual is intended to help you through the process of using Zoi Meet when using the Zoi Meet Application on the Vuzix Blade.

Getting Started

The Zoi Meet Vuzix Application allows you to view instant transcriptions in Augmented Reality. You can use Vuzix to either transcribe your meetings or translate your meetings. Everything that is being said while using Zoi Meet on the Vuzix Blade is automatically stored in your account. You can log in to the Zoi Meet Web Platform using your login credentials to review your archive.

Registration

In order to make use of the Zoi Meet Vuzix Application you will need a Zoi Meet account. If you do not have one already, please register, in order to use the Zoi Meet App.

  1. After launching the Zoi Meet Application on your Vuzix device, tap on the “Registration” square
  2. Fill in your email & password to register for a Zoi Meet account*

*You can download the Vuzix Application to use your phone as an input device instead of typing/swiping your registration information on the Vuzix Blade. Another way to register is by visiting this link on your browser.

Log In to Zoi Meet

If you are already a registered user, or just registered, please use your login credentials to start using the Zoi Meet App on the Vuzix Blade.

  1. After launching the Zoi Meet Application on your Vuzix device, tap on the “Login” square
  2. Fill in your email & password to log in to your Zoi Meet account*

*You can download the Vuzix Application (Android & iOS) to use your phone as an input device instead of typing/swiping your login details on the Vuzix Blade.

The Zoi Meet Main Screen is where you can find all your  navigation to use the Zoi Meet Application on the Vuzix Blade.

  1. This is where you tap to HOST/START a meeting on the Vuzix Blade
  2. This is where you tap to JOIN a meeting using a “PIN Code” provided by the meeting host
  3. This is where you tap to find your meeting settings and log out of your account.

Host Session

Using the Zoi Meet Vuzix Application you can host a meeting session. This session is supported by a unique PIN code that guests can use to enter your meeting session to see the transcript live. This can be either through another Vuzix Blade, Zoi Meet Mobile Application, or our Web Platform.

Start a session

Zoi Meet sessions for meetings can only be started using the mobile application or using the Vuzix Blade.

  1. Tap on the first square to “HOST” a new meeting

Your session will always start with English Microphone input and English Subtitles on the Vuzix Blade. You can change the input and output by tapping with two fingers twice on your Vuzix Blade touchpad to open the settings menu and tap on “Mic Language” or “Subtitle Language”

Change Spoken Language

After you tapped the “Host Session” option you will be redirected into the started session on your Vuzix Blade. To change the language settings, please tap with two fingers twice on the touchpad of you Blade to open the menu.

  1. Tap on the first square to “HOST” a new meeting

Your session will always start with English Microphone input and English Subtitles on the Vuzix Blade. You can change the input and output by tapping with two fingers twice on your Vuzix Blade touchpad to open the settings menu and tap on “Mic Language” or “Subtitle Language”

 

1. Tap on the first square “Mic Language” to change the language that is being spoken (input language)

 

2. Swipe left and right to select your preferred language for the input of the conversation

Change Spoken Language

After you tapped the “Host Session” option you will be redirected into the started session on your Vuzix Blade. To change the language settings, please tap with two fingers twice on the touchpad of you Blade to open the menu.

1. Tap on the second square “Subtitle Language” to change the language that is being displayed (output language)

2. Swipe left and right to select your preferred language for the subtitles on your screen

Change subtitle color

To change the subtitle color settings, please tap with two fingers twice on the touchpad of you Blade to open the menu. You can select between RED and GREEN subtitles.

3. Tap within the settings menu on the third square “Color” to change the subtitle color on you Blade.

Invite guests to your session

Once you start a session you can invite your guests to join by providing them with the PIN code that corresponds to your live session.

Within the application you will find a “PIN code” on the top left of your visor after you started a new session. This PIN code can be shared with others. For guests to join, they can either use a different Vuzix Blade with an account, the Mobile Application or visit app.zoimeet.com.

Join Session

You can use the Zoi Meet Vuzix Application to join a live session that is hosted by another user. This means that you can review the meeting on your Vuzix Blade within the room, or remotely. Live sessions can be joined by using a valid PIN code.

The benefit of being a registered user while joining a live meeting session is that your transcript will be saved in your archive to review, edit and share later.

  1. Tap on the second square “Join Meeting” to enter a meeting that is being hosted by another user
  2. The application will ask for you to enter a valid “PIN Code” which is provided to the “host user”.

3. Select the language of subtitles you would like to see on your Vuzix Blade by swiping left or right through our choice of languages.

Keep in mind you can always change your subtitle language choice within the session

Meeting session

With Zoi Meet you can set up a live meeting session in which you can invite other participants to join. This way, you and all other participants, can view a real-time transcript of what’s being said on your own screen. For now all meeting sessions are started from either a Android device,  iOS device or the Vuzix Blade.

  1. This is where you see your PIN Code of the session to share with others
  2. Tap once on the Vuzix Touchpad to start recording your voice (meeting)
  3. This is where you will find the language the Blade is listening for

Start recording

The Zoi Meet Application is not yet recording when the session is started. This, by default, to prevent any wrongful recordings before the meeting starts. You will have to manually activate the recording to begin your meeting session.

1. Tap once on the Vuzix Touchpad to start recording

If the microphone is ON you will see four green dots at the bottom of the Vuzix screen. This indicates that the device is listening to your speech.

Once you start speaking you will see the transcription on your Vuzix Glasses appear.

Stop recording

If you are done with the meeting, or like to end the session, you can do so at any moment in time.

1. Tap the Vuzix Touchpad twice to stop recording your meeting so the microphone off icon appears.

Archive

Within the Zoi Meet Vuzix Application you cannot review and edit transcripts that are recorded during your meeting. However, using the Zoi Meet Platform you can edit and export your transcription.
